
Advanced BMS
The PEPR aims to develop innovative technological components to create advanced Battery Management Systems (BMS) that enhance the lifespan of cells and batteries. To achieve this, the PEPR will address several scientific challenges:
- Integration of multi-sensing sensors within battery cells, taking into account several constraints (cost, efficiency, durability of sensors in the cell’s hostile chemical environment, minimal disruption to cell performance, etc.). Signal communication and processing, data fusion, and analysis using artificial intelligence tools to leverage the large amount of data generated by multi-probe sensors integrated at the cell level; Project SENSIGA.
- Self-repair functionalities will be integrated into battery cells, allowing for increased lifespan and reliability of battery cells that may suffer from damage or degradation. Project HEAL B and B.
